Ban Hoe Seng - A Tradition of Excellence

On the 20 January 2017 at the Honda Malaysia National Dealers Convention, Ban Hoe Seng was presented the 2016 CEO Award for Elite Dealer by Mr Akhbar Daniel, Honda Malaysia Vice President of Marketing and Dealer Development to Ban Hoe Seng Sdn Bhd Managing Director Mr Ignatius Chew Eng Lin.

The award presentation was an acknowledgement of Ban Hoe Seng’s performance for the year 2016.

“ for recognition of outstanding achievements in selling and servicing Honda products”.

The presentation of the award coincided with the visit of Honda’s founder and President Soichiro Honda to Malaysia the same year.

This tradition of excellence has been maintained ever since Ban Hoe Seng received the “1st Honda Dealer of the Year award” in the year 1990 for both the Car and Motorcycle category.

The motorcycle category was presented by Boon Siew - Honda

The award for the Car category was given by Kah Motor Co Sdn Bhd and for the motorcycle category was presented by Boon Siew - Honda Sdn Bhd.

In 2009 it again won the Car Dealer of the Year award and under the motorcycle category the No 1 Dealer Sales Campaign.

It repeated its performance again in 2015 when it won the auspicious CEO Award.

The CEO Award which came with a cash prize of RM 100,000.00 consists of several categories. These are :-

-  the Elite Dealer award

  - Dealer Development Award. This award covers 5S cleanliness, Customer Satisfaction, Workshop, Servicing and Parts and Insurance new sales new and renewable sales.

- the Customer Satisfaction Award (won the first time). Ban Hoe Seng topped the list and won under the Gold category which carried a cash prize of RM15,000.

- Dealer Quality System (DQS) award, was another first for Ban Hoe Seng and this too carried a cash reward of RM30,000.

For the CEO Award that year Roslan Abdullah, the President and COO of Honda Malaysia came personally to Ipoh to present the award to the Ban Hoe Seng Team.

The CEO Award is now in its 5th year and was introduced to all Honda dealers as a form of support and motivation from Honda Malaysia.

Since 1990 it has been receiving awards each year whether for the company and for individual performances.

In 1991 it received the Main Dealer Appreciation award from Boon Siew Honda.

In 2012, the year it gave up the motorcycle main dealership it received an Award of Recognition for being “Honda Main Dealership for 54 years (1958 – 2012)” from Boon Siew Honda

.

In 1984 there was no award given for its achievement of a record breaking 92 cars sold in one month but it received a congratulatory Certificate of Appreciation by Kah Motor Co Sdn Bhd.

Ban Hoe Seng for all its awards received over the years is truly a Tradition of Excellence.
